Thanks for the mention of Diamond Jim Brady's during St. Pat's weekend. 120 pounds of corned beef so far... lots of other tasty Irish fare to boot... Irish Lamb Stew, Beef & Stout Pie, Bangers & Colcannon, Dublin Crab, Lake Trout with Peas & Watercress. Erin go bragh!

Thank You for mentioning Detroit's oldest Jewish Deli Hygrades on Michigan Ave. The plate up the very Best Corned Beef in town just down from the old train station this place should not be missed since being around for 60 Years there surely doing something right.

Sincerely hoping that the author didn't understand the meaning of this word when she used it to describe Sy Ginsberg's Corned Beef. We would have preferred the term "iconic" or just plain famous. Thank you for all the great mentions, though.

Beware! My wife and I had a bad experience and tipped around 10 percent. The bartender had a meltdown and called me an @sshole. Then the regulars wanted to start a bar brawl...I thought I was in a hick bar. By the way, a bottle of PBR is $3.50. Are you kidding me?

Teddi... since the place just opened up - how many times have you been there ?
It takes a while to build up a clientele - since people are not aware that it has opened that may explain how quiet it is right now. They have just hired away from Iredecence at the Motor City Casino - the manager and sommillier Frederick - so I am sure he will have this place up and running as well as Iredecence in no time.
