The Little Willies

The latest from Norah Jones' side project The Little Willies is deeply rooted in country-music history. There are covers of recognizable artists like Johnny Cash, as well as more obscure artists like '40s stalwart Ralph Stanley. Jones and company pick a set of tunes that are already terrific in the first place, but they also give each one an enthusiastic, loving treatment. You've probably happily had the Hank Williams classic "Lovesick Blues" stuck in your head at least a few times before, but you'll also dig the lovely harmonies and easygoing rhythm of the Willies' take on it. These are great songs done well.
