He has taken the genre far away from the synthetically manufactured hip-hop of late, and has created something more pure and in-tune with his individual emotions. In case you weren't aware, Mr. 305 has become Mr. Worldwide – and you'll know exactly why when you take a look at his resume. He's got a ton of global hits (like "Back In Time" from the Men In Black 3 soundtrack), collaborations with the world's hottest artists (such as the current mega-hit "We Run the Night" with Havana Brown) and is a spokeman for some of the hottest brands on the planet. The Miami native brings his explosive show to metro Detroit, and you'd have to be crazy to miss it. Doors at 6:30 p.m., tickets are $25 for lawn (in advance) and $35-$49.50 for pavilion seats. George Thorogood Motor City Casino Hotel Sound Board • 7/29

The man who graced rock n' roll with his "Bad to the Bone" hit, George Thorogood is coming to the Motor City once more. His bluesy brand of rock took off in the '80s when he supported The Rolling Stones on stage in their 1981 tour and since then, he's had two platinum and six gold records.
