Nero Elektricity Festival Grounds • 7/20

If there's one set you're not going to want to miss at this year's IDentity Festival, it's Nero. Sure, there are a plethora of EDM artists who will be taking over the city of Pontiac this weekend, but Nero's DJ set (they're an electronic group out of London, preferential to drum & bass, dubstep and house) will bring the crowds out for sure. The Festival Grounds are located at 10 Water St. in Pontiac. Tickets are still available, and for more info, head over to idfestival.com or elektricitymusic.com.

Elzhi St. Andrew's Hall • 7/21

The multi-talented Detroit-based rapper will be at St. Andrew's Hall on Saturday, showcasing the unique and complicated rhyme schemes, alliteration and other poetical devices of his raps. He teaches life lessons in his songs as he raps about his own life experiences that have shaped and led him to become the successful rapper he is today. His most recent album, eLmatic (produced by Will Sessions), has the musical influences of their hip-hop-funk sounds with Elzhi's genius rap lyrics layered on top of it. outasight Tonic Nightclub • 7/22 We're pretty sure, at this point, you're familiar with the hit "Tonight Is the Night" by Outasight. Well, it's your opportunity to check out the man behind the music (straight out of Yonkers!) at Tonic this Sunday – which, by chance, happens to be the hot night in Pontiac (it did, after all, win Best Sunday Night in metro Detroit in our Best Of issue for 2012). 50th Anniversary Cadieux Café • 7/22

The best date bar (by my vote, at least) has a reason to celebrate this Sunday! After 50 successful years of providing an unique bar experience, they are still cooking up mussels and serving up beer with enthusiasm. And might I add, they are the only feather bowling bar in the United States. As you perfect your feather bowling skills, Artificial Agent with special guest Lurch will be providing the tunes for this evening's debaucheries. For more info please call 313-882-8560.
