Sharam & Chris lake Elektricity • 5/25
The Iranian-born progressive house DJ and Scottish house DJ plan to bring you a night of dancing and debauchery in Pontiac. As one half of Grammy award-winning group Deep Dish, Sharam has wowed audiences the world over, and has been named one of the top 100 DJs in the world. Chaos Rains Emerald Theatre • 5/25
The hard rock of Chaos Rains will be raining down on Detroit with a high-octane performance on Friday – highlighted by metro Detroit's very first 3D music video release. Don't miss their heavy rhythmic section and high-energy stage presentation, which is known to capture audiences. But be sure to come equipped with plenty of energy, as they'll be demanding chaotic responses and participation from the crowd. The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye Detroit Film Theatre • 5/25
The romantic partnership and relationship between '90s industrial rocker Genesis P-Orridge and Lady Jaye, the young dominatrix he married in New York, is shown in great detail in this off-kilter documentary – including their subsequent and numerous plastic surgeries that aimed at making them physically resemble each other. The film begins at 9:30 p.m., but be sure to get there at 7 p.m. to catch Moon Pool and Dead Band, the Detroit electro duo, as they perform a live set before the viewing. action bronson Crofoot Ballroom • 5/25
Action Bronson, gourmet chef-turned-rapper will be dropping rhymes at the Crofoot Ballroom, bringing his classic New York style to Detroit. "It is 100% rooted from being a New Yorker, but it definitely takes from all places, all kinds of experiences, where I've been all around the world – and mixes them together to make me," says Bronson. On Friday, he will be breaking beats about food, weed and how he likes his ladies. "Also, I like using fancy analogies that have to do with street things like like drugs and guns, and equate them with food," he says.
