Candlebox 5/19 • Emerald Theatre
With 20 years of experience backing their platinum hooks and the recently-released fifth studio album Love Stories and Other Musings, Candlebox is once again ready to excite crowds. B.B. King 5/23 • The Fox Theatre
B.B. King is undoubtedly the King of Blues. He and Lucille (his beloved guitar, for those who didn't know) will be making yet another Fox appearance. Catch him now if you haven't seen him, because even though Rolling Stone has ranked him sixth on the list of 100 greatest guitarists of all time, that just still doesn't do the man justice. Motor City Comic Con 5/18-5/20 • Suburban Collection Showplace
For three days, drape yourself in your best sci-fi attire as you get lost in the dusty rows upon rows of comic books. Enjoy musical performances from the Mega 80s, the Junction Groove and Tiny Lightning (three bands featuring six hours of live musical entertainment for only $5). Gimme Shelter Fundraiser 5/20 • Berkley Front
Enjoy an evening of live music, raffles and sticky summer bar atmosphere at the Berkley Front. The bluegrass country tunes of Jennifer Westwood with the Waycross Georgia Farmboys, the soulful pop of Frankie D'Angelo and the bluesy Motown soul of Joey Spina will fill the bar with local sounds. These three musical natives of Detroit will be performing to benefit three animal rescues—Almost Home, Last Day Dog Rescue and Safari. Begins at 6 p.m. with a $5 suggested donation.

Lions Bocce Charity Tournament 5/23 • Palazzo di Bocce
Does the rare opportunity to enjoy a casual encounter with past and present Detroit Lions players and coaches sound like a blast?
