Bush, chevelle and filter 10/6 • Fillmore

Remember these guys? While Gavin Rossdale is taking a breather from his solo career, he and the guys from Bush are showing off their newest album, The Sea of Memories. Mr. Gwen Stefani and his band are back to prove they're not as rusty as you'd think. It's not everyday that you get to experience a reunited rock band that helped influenced a generation. Chevelle, Filter and Bush have teamed up and combined their exceptional talents for their latest tour. Expect some legendary deep alternative rock and edgy alt-metal from all three that will make you glad you didn't sit this one out. The Fillmore is located at 2115 Woodward Ave. in Detroit. Zoo Brew 10/6 • Detroit Zoo

Did you need proof that the zoo isn't just for kids? This year, the Detroit zoo is showing its adult side and hosting a beer-tasting event, featuring a selection of over 30 beers from various Michigan breweries. And there will be food and live music, too! Now that's a party. You will also be allowed access to the zoo's award-winning habitats and scenery. So, head on down to 8450 W. 10 Mile Rd from 6 to 10:30 p.m. to drink some delicious cold beer and take a twilight stroll through the Detroit Zoo. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gates. DJ Deville 10/8 • Bleu

The Tampa native has performed in cities across the nation and the globe, and now he's making his way to Detroit to perform with DJ Godfather and DJ Maz in one of the Motor City's hottest nightclub experiences. His energetic stage presence only adds to his broad appeal, featuring remixes and mash-ups from a broad range of musical origins (house, hip-hop, rock and old school). Adrian Belew Power Trio 10/7 • Magic Bag

Adrian Belew Power Trio and The Stick Men are bringing their tour, "2 of a Perfect Trio," to fashionable Ferndale. The classic rock style of Adrian Belew (you might remember him from King Crimson) and the progressive rock of The Stick Men mix well, presenting a unique blend of music for the evening. Frank Caliendo 10/8 • aPalace of Auburn Hills

Funny man Frank Caliendo is coming to town! What a more perfect time for him to come to Detroit, given that it's football season, our Lions are doing exceptionally well and Caliendo's impression of John Madden is a fan favorite (not to mention he used to do commentary on the NFL Sunday Ticket). If you loved this comedian's hilarious impressions on MadTV, you are going to love his live performance. He will be performing at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30-$70. More info available at palacenet.com.

Three 6 Mafia is coming back to Michigan to show us exactly how hard it is out here for a pimp (and if any state knows how hard it is, it'd be the mitten). These exceptionally talented rappers made history as the first black music group to win an Oscar for their contribution to Hustle and Flow in 2006. Detroit's Big Crush 10/8 • Various Venues

Who doesn't love wine? And how amazing would a wine stroll of 14 venues in downtown Detroit be? You get a chance to take in some unbelievable architecturally significant buildings and art while enjoying delicious wines at each of the venues, in addition to a food item paired from their respective establishments. Hosted by the Detroit Area Art Deco Society, you'll also get an opportunity to help out a fantastic non-profit while you're enjoying your afternoon (noon to 4 p.m.).
