The Running Game

RB.jpg

This year the Lions have three running backs competing for one spot with no clear favorites. Each running back offers their own pros and cons and will all likely at some point be counted to run the ball for the team this year. So instead of giving you a breakdown about their ability to "bust it up the middle" or "not get concussions," we decided to give you the only dating profile-inspired preview of the team's running game you'll see. Hopefully you can use this guide to pick your favorite back. And maybe even find true love.

Contestant #1

Do you like puppies? How about PUP lists? Sure, he might be physically unable to perform, but that's just on the football field. Out of all the contestants, he has the most skills as both a runner and a receiver, making him a great catch. Do you like sensitive guys? He's very sensitive to light! If you aren't ready for a long-term commitment, neither is he. In fact, there's a good chance you'll never see him again. If you are looking for someone to spend quality time with, he might be your pick since he is rarely at work because of his enjoyment of life and not wanting to die a horrible violent death on the job. He thinks he's the 'best' for you.

Contestant #2

Do you like your guy to be a bit of a bad boy? Do you want your relationship to reach highs you never thought possible? If so, he is shourely your guy! He really smokes the competition. As the youngest of the contestants, he brings energy, excitement and a recent history of arrests to the table. Unlike Contestant #1, he's not afraid of taking a hit (of anything really). He's new to the game but he likes to have a good time, as he's already planning a (league mandated) two-week vacation. But be careful, his Achilles heel is his Achilles' heel.

Contestant #3

Are you into nostalgia? Remember how great 2008 was? Then you'll be 'Smith-tten' with contestant #3. He might not be the sexiest contestant out there, but hey, he's going to be there for you from the start and he's sure to have you coming back for more. Do you like surprises? Surprise! So does Contestant #3. As soon as you forget he was ever a part of your life he'll appear out of nowhere and soon you'll want him around for years. Plus, did we mention he currently shows no signs of being hindered by any sort of career-threatening condition/legal issue?

Did you pick a winner? Contestant #1 was Jahvid Best whose future is pretty much a mystery you could be a part of.

Contestant #2 is the young hotshot Mikel Leshoure. He may be a rookie on paper, but you wouldn't know it from watching, mostly because no one has really seen him play yet.

Contestant #3 is probable current favorite, Kevin Smith. Just when you thought you would never hear from him again, now he's here to stay, for at least a few weeks anyways. | RDW
