Re: “Stage & Canvas

Robert, thank you very much for the nice write-up of our fifth West of Center, All-Media Contemporary Arts Show. I have been the curator of this show the past four years, and was thrilled to have Matt Eaton be our 2013 juror. The jurors from previous years (Tom Thewes, Cedric Tai, Jay Holland, & MaryAnn Wilkinson) were great too. We're going to keep on trying to push that creative synergy between Detroit and the 'burbs!

Saraswati would like to thank Robert de Valle with utmost sincerity for his kind words and glowing endorsement of her site. It is a pleasure and a joy to write the articles, to hear the stories and to share the experiences with the readers and the contributors. We love making people laugh and if anyone ever learns anything or has a moment of introspection from the ridiculousness, well, then that's just aces as well. Thank you so much! We are, of course, avid fans of this column. The posts Mr. De Valle refers to appeared on 1/10/13 and 1/17/13 respectively and they are two of our favorites. We also love "The One That Got Away" from 1/25/13 and a few others. Thank you again!!!

Re: “Stage & Canvas

I've been to a couple art shows with A. Owen Layne having work in it. Even bought a print which hangs in my bathroom. He's hilarious and his work is quite marketable because it's original. I plan to stop by Scarab Club tonight for a few now that I know he's showing.
