Re: “Rob Zombie

I totally disagree on holding off for this album. It's not Hellbilly Deluxe 2 but its hard rock all around. I'm a bug fan of Zombie and I'm pleased!

See, I instantly liked my own comment. One must be astute to navigate the webs and threads and internets of life. I make myself smile.

Re: “Inspectah Deck with 7L & Esoteric

I feel that a lot of Wu-Tang solo efforts fit your description. Overall, they're good, but nothing stands out. I'll give Fishscale the exception to this notion. But OBFCL 1 and 2 tend to seem like one long song at first listen.

Re: “The Means

Hello there! I'm "whoever is penning these tunes". Thanks so much for the kind words about our music, it really means a lot. I must say I'm a little surprised by the interpretation of the album's theme. None of the songs have anything to do with ex-lovers or feeling jilted or bitter.

Quite the opposite, in fact. "Rumours" is about the uncertain early moments of a new relationship, "You Can Have Me" and "Incandescence" are unapologetic love songs, "Tail Lights" is about never living in the same area for too long, while "You Know Who You Are" and "It's On" are rejections of hipster culture and television, respectively. Overall, the album is lyrically positive (although I do harbor quite a resentment toward television and hipsters).

Then again, the thing that I like most about art and music is that everyone that experiences it will come up with their own interpretation, unique to their perspective and situation.

Nevertheless, thank you, thank you, thank you again for listening to our music and having such nice things to say about it.

Re: “Band of Horses

Band of Horses always delivers. And it was pretty cool seeing them on Letterman the other night! http://bit.ly/S5Ze10

Re: “David Byrne & St. Vincent

Wow! The song "Who" is amazing! The album cover of her jaw being misshaped jaw is a little unusual but definitely worth the listen!

Re: “Ben Sharkey

As a fairly new listener to Jazz I take these reviews seriously. I want an honest and real opinion on local artists so I am not left wasting my time on a less than quality album. After reading this review I would have to say she is very consistent on her opinions of the album. With her thorough  assessment of  the alum, she clearly has done her homework. I appreciate this review because it is honest and detailed. He is a new artist with much to learn and many kinks to work out. I hope he continues with his journey as an artist and takes criticism as an opportunity to learn and grow. Nobody's perfect their first time around.
