Real Detroit has embraced one goal since its birth in 1999 – to be the single most indispensable source of information for readers eager to know where the real spirit of this city can be found week after week, month after month.
We seek that spirit in music, art, movies, fashion, nightlife, dining, and anything and everything that complements those passions. Our writers and photographers seek it downtown, in the suburbs, and even in the neighborhoods across the river.
65,000 copies roll off the presses every Wednesday into the hands of the metro Detroit public. Our distribution pattern is carefully and precisely drawn so as to include the most ideal locations for advertisers and merchants. Furthermore, that pattern keeps in mind a particular demographic that those same advertisers and merchants see as their target audience.
