Bravo Bravo! A Serenade For The Senses
Once a year, a gorgeous gala goes down at the Detroit Opera House. It’s an affair not be missed, as the evening encapsulates every corner of culture this town has to offer. From the fabulous fine dining food choices brought to you by the chefs at Andiamo, Chen Chow, Mon Jin Lau and Saltwater (just to name a few) to the evening’s vast variety of entertainment thanks to artists such as The Killer Flamingos, Hot Club of Detroit, DJ Godfather and many more, it's an unforgetable affair.
The evening also celebrates near unsurpassed volumes of volunteerism. It’s a time for Detroit’s young and motivated professionals to rally together for the cause of maintaining the rich cultural vibe of arts and community in Detroit’s downtown district. It’s a time to shine, for the city and for the attendees, who sport fancy fashions on this very special night.
It’s an evening that captures the tastes, sights and sounds of the city … but let’s not forget the drinks. The ticket price includes all the food and drink, all of which is “top shelf” in our book, and also goes directly to the Detroit Opera House so that they may continue to bring our city the best the world has to offer. And with this year’s environmental efforts, it’s simply impossible to imagine ever passing up on this amazing event.
We saw you at Cyrano last year and this season’s smash hit La Rondine … don’t you want more? Well then, BravoBravo! is your chance to collectively give the Detroit Opera House itself a standing ovation.Real Detroit got the scoop on this year’s festivities from Detroit Opera House’s Nikki Ruddy.
What spurred the decision to “go green” this year? We had a meeting with Whole Foods Co., one of this year's sponsors, and decided it would be great to try and put forth the effort to go in a "greener" direction. Stephani Yates and Amanda Musilli (committee members) have put tremendous effort in making this happen.
For someone that has never been to BravoBravo! before, what is it like and why should they make it out this year? It’s a taste-fest inside the Opera House! It’s a great night to get dressed up, walk the red carpet, hear great music and enjoy an amazing night at an unbelievable venue!
What is the crowd like at BravoBravo! Since it’s an opera house, is it as stuffy as some may think? The crowd is diverse … Not at all stuffy … The ticket price makes this event accessible to a wide demographic.
Aside from reserved seating and premium alcohol, are there any other perks for the VIPs? No — we like to treat everyone at this event as if they are VIP.
How do the bars and restaurants represent the best of Detroit? The list speaks for itself.
In terms of art and music going on at BravoBravo!, what can people expect to see that’s different and engaging? It is an eclectic mix — there is something for everyone!
What's the main goal of BravoBravo!? To promote and introduce new audiences to the Opera House. | RDW
